THANKSGIVING: Refuge by the Sea

A new tradition started last year… Thanksgiving at AsilomarRefuge by the Sea… this time getting ready for a long awaited storm… after the most devastating Camp Fire… many thoughts on that… and the current state of the world… appreciating more every bit of it while pondering where we are headed…

Surprised by the warm weather… humbled by the Asilomar Dunes
enjoying the meandering ocean walk to the great tide pool… friendly people sharing the trail… feeling at home in this beautiful refuge balancing wild nature and peaceful humanity…

Time to taste the delicacies of this magnificent place… vegetarian Thanksgiving at Julia’s… delicious Kabocha soup… Thanksgiving abundant salad… roasted globe artichoke… savory acorn squash… and best homemade pumpkin pie… with soy alamode… add Kombucha and Julia’s hot chocolate… surround it with soulful music… to be repeated!

Almost full moon evening… back to Asilomar’s Social Hall… always animated… happy to musically meet Michael Martinez
